RANT!
I know a lot of people use their blogs to rant, complain, make a fuss, etc. Well, I don't want to miss my oportunity...
How is it that the City of Chicago just doubled the cost of the parking meters in front of my house? It used to be 25 cents for an hour and only from 9 to 5 Monday through Friday. Now all of a sudden 25 cents will only get you 30 minutes. And the old standard "that's the government for you" argument doesn't even seem to work because our Federal government, which probably has a little larger deficit than the City of Chicago, only gradually increases prices- like the postal service- stamps only go up a few cents every couple of years. And would people really make that much of a fuss if they doubled the price of stamps?
